Marvin
“The Beastman” Eastman Standing up or on the ground Marvin “The
Beastman” Eastman is ready to Beat Down
Marvin Eastman is not only prepared for his K-1
“Battle At the Bellagio III” bout he is ready
to “beat the shit out of his opponent.” The reigning
“King of the Cage” Light heavyweight champion
says he is 100% ready both mentally and physically
to step into the ring with anybody who challenges
him.
Marvin is no stranger to success in and out of
the ring. At an early age, Marvin began wrestling
with his older brother’s junior varsity wrestling
team. The constant challenges pushed Marvin’s
strengths and encouraged him to develop skills
needed to face opposition with superior dominance.
During his senior year of high school Marvin’s
experience and talent finally provided him with
an undefeated record (42-0) and California State
Wrestling Championship at the 191 pound weight
class.
Marvin’s athletic abilities are limitless. After
returning home from Garden City Junior College
in Kansas, Marvin decided to turn his focus to
football. Marvin is just as accomplished on the
football field as he is on the wrestling mat.
After two All-American years at Merced College
in California, Marvin was offered a full ride
scholarship to the University of Washington Huskies.
Marvin however found himself in the bright lights
of Las Vegas and decided to sign on with UNLV
instead.
Marvin played two successful seasons as a tailback
and a full back with the Running Rebels, and later
joined the Canadian Football league (CFL) for
a short time. In 1996 Marvin decided to focus
his talents and skills in a new and more challenging
area. Marvin turned to Muay Thai style fighting
to challenge himself. Marvin quickly remembered
his wrestling roots and loved the feeling immediately
of utilizing knees and elbows in combat. Marvin
once again found himself ready to compete with
others and with himself.
With Marvin’s superior strength, quickness, experience,
and newly found Muay Thai skills, he decided that
he could be more than just a force in the sport;
he could dominate.
Marvin has set his heart toward a WFA’s Light
heavyweight Championship in November. There is
no doubt that “The Beastman” will be considered
as one of names on the cards for a championship
match. Marvin stays focused for each fight keeping
in mind his goal. He goes in one fight at a time
ready to stand up toe to toe, or grapple to the
ground.
Marvin’s fights against Jeff “Duke” Roufus, Tom
Sauer, Alex Stiebling, and Vernon White have proven
to be successful bouts. Marvin was supposed to
lose to the four time Muay Thai champion, but
instead issued Roufus with a vicious jumping knee
to his ribs sending him down for the count. That
victory brought much confidence and respect for
himself. Marvin has continued his success during
the recent “King of the Cage” unanimous decision
and vengeful rematch versus Vernon “Tiger” White
earning him the Light Heavyweight championship.
Marvin is no doubt excited about the opportunities
in his future. It is rumored that Tito Ortiz may
want to fight Marvin in the near future. Marvin
stated that he “welcomes any fighter at this point”
and added that he would be happy to face Tito
and take him to the mat like many times before.
The bottom line is Marvin is ready to face any
opponent and do what he does best.
